Reading your results

After an attempt, the simple score summarizes the pass; open detailed results for the evidence behind it. The results view can show:

  • Hit breakdown: counts for Perfect, Early, Late, Miss, Extra, and Wrong pad.
  • Timing distribution: where hits fall in milliseconds relative to the beat.
  • Timing tendency: rushing, dragging, or steady.
  • Expression & dynamics: velocity-target performance when MIDI velocity is trustworthy.
  • Per-lane results: Notes, Accuracy, Timing, and Dynamics for each voice.
  • Session timeline: pass or loop history, plus a Speed ladder when Speed Builder was used.

Mean signed timing shows directional bias: negative values lean early, positive values lean late. Spread describes consistency; a narrow spread with a consistent bias often suggests alignment, while a wide spread suggests timing variability.

Dynamics may say Keyboard input: fixed velocity, Mixed input — velocity unreliable, Not enough repeated hits, or No velocity data. These are data-quality explanations, not zero scores. Use MIDI and play repeated hits when assessing dynamics.

Choose Try again, Try again faster, or Try again slower as offered. Compare results made with the same practice profile and setup; different timing windows are not directly comparable.
